It was late 1973 on the western side of the Berlin wall. The familiar sound of a Beetle engine moved behind a block of flats, no lights and with the engine silenced the only sound was a dog barking in the distance. Alongside a row of garage units a young West German soldier assigned to the 7th Panzer Grenadier Division picked up the vehicles radio.
