Visitors to the Ricoh Arena for Coventry City's game against Watford on Saturday, April 2nd will get more than the usual football match. For one day only, the Jaguar Exhibition Hall will be filled with Jaguar E-Types. Around 50 of the iconic vehicles will be on display inside the Jaguar Exhibition Hall with their owners on hand to chat to people attending the event ahead of the Sky Blues’ Championship clash against the Hornets which kicks off at 3pm. "This year marks the 50th anniversary of the E-Type and we couldn't let the occasion pass without celebrating in Coventry. The event at the Ricoh Arena is a wonderful opportunity for people to see the E-Type in the flesh and with 50 beautiful cars expected to be there, it will be a real treat," said Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK. "Throughout the 60s and 70s, the E-Type was the car to be seen in. Football legend George Best was an E-Type owner, along with Brigitte Bardot, Tony Curtis and Steve McQueen." Ray Ranson, Coventry City chairman, said this promised to be a day to remember for Sky Blues and Jaguar fans. He said: "We want as many people as possible to come early and be involved in this exciting day. This is a great opportunity for people who have not been to a match for a while to come along and have a memorable day out." Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, added: "The E-Type was one of the models which helped define Jaguar as a quality, cutting-edge company and enhanced Coventry's reputation as a leading motor city in the UK. "This will be a wonderful opportunity to see such a fantastic collection of cars all under one roof and hear the many interesting stories the E-Type owners have to tell." Everyone attending the Watford game can gain access to the Jaguar Exhibition Hall which will be open between 11am and 6.30pm. In addition to this amazing exhibition of E-Types, Coventry City fans will see around 40 former Sky Blues players introduced to the crowd at half-time as part of the club's Legends' Day which is being organised by the Former Players' Association.Tags:,
