Historic Formula One cars set for Grand Prix circuit return

The legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is all set for two days of historic Formula One action this weekend (26-27 May), with action from cars ranging from the 1960s to the mid 1980s. The action this morning kicks off with qualifying for the GT cars of the Gentleman Drivers at 9am before the screamers of the GP Masters come out to play. The grid features an amazing line up of F1 cars including the unique six wheel Tyrrell P34 as well other classics from Williams, Brabham, McLaren and Lotus, and will hark back to the days of Brands Hatch as an F1 venue. The first race of the weekend takes place at 13.35 for the GP Masters. Following that are races for the Historic Grand Prix Association for pre-1966 F1 cars and the CanAm Interserie Challenge for sports cars and prototypes. More F1 cars will compete in the Historic Race of Champions this time for machines built prior to 1971 before the days action concludes with the Gentlemen Drivers Pre-66 GT cars.Tags:
