Who says girls cant drive?  And who says pensioners drive too slowly?  I am Liz Pearce,  definitely female,  just qualified for a bus pass and starting on my sixth year of sprinting, hill climbs and speed trials. I love the sport,  and generally race about a dozen times a year. I've recently started letting my son double drive my modified Scooby and the little perisher is unfortunately beating me now. I found it quite confusing when I started sprinting and would have loved some experienced help and information so I have volunteered to be a Sprint Buddy to help anyone who is thinking of starting in this wonderful sport. So if you are a lady who loves cars and wants to try out what your car is capable of,  just come and chat to me or any of the other drivers.I can help with info about licences, what to wear, what to do with your car,  and how to find race tracks and change tyres. My son is just 25, so if you are a similar age to him and would like his view on sprinting,  get in touch too. You can see where I am racing and the sort of fun that I have by visiting my website www.lizpearceracing.co.uk. I still use my car every day to get to work, so its definitely not about having the fastest car in the world, just about having huge fun and meeting like minded people. I am a member of the British Women Racing Drivers Club,  a member of the Brighton and Hove Motor Club (despite living the other side of the country) as this club runs the Goodwood Sprints and the Brighton Speed Trials.  I am also a member of BARC Midlands which is one of the friendliest clubs you will find. And just in case you wondered, I HATE helmet hair and have colour coordinated my race suit, boots, gloves and helmet. I look forward to meeting you in the paddock.Tags:
