First TV Date For 2016 BHRC

BHRC2015Useemail010316The TV coverage of the opening round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Red Kite Stages, will first be screened on Friday 4 March at 9.35pm on Motors TV. Filming and TV production for the 2016 BHRC is being handled by the team at Special Stage and the championship will enjoy dedicated 60-minute programmes on Motors TV. In addition, the historic action will feature in the company’s acclaimed magazine programme, Special Stage Extra and all programmes will be available on the Special Stage YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/user/MCvideouk The 60-minute programme on Motors TV will cover the full story of the Red Kite Stages, which ran in tough conditions as rain, wind and fog replaced the snow and ice of the 2015 rally. A day-long battle raged for overall BHRC victory between the Ford Escort Mk2s of Jason Pritchard/Phil Clarke and Nick Elliott/Dave Price, with Pritchard finally taking victory by 13 seconds. Other category wins went to Stanley Orr/Guy Weaver (Ford Escort Mk1) and Bob Gibbons/Dale Gibbons (Ford Cortina Mk2). After the initial broadcast on Friday at 9.35pm, the programme is due to be repeated several times including at 1.40pm and 5.20pm on Saturday 5 March and at 11.05am on Sunday 6 March. Support for coverage of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship comes from TV partners Chris Browne Builders, Harris & Co Motorsport Accountants, Jordan Road Surfacing, Keighley Transit Centre, Rally and Competition Equipment, Sherwood Engines, Simpson Race Products, Swift Leisure and Walker Motorsport Castings.
