Exclusive Alvis video drives 1930s motoring onlineThe brand new Alvis 4.3 Litre has been captured exclusively on film some 74 years after the last one rolled off the production line. Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister, Road Tax had just been abolished and Clark Gable was melting hearts on the silver screen when Alvis Cars halted assembly of its 6-cylinder 4.3 Litre model. Now, more than seven decades later, the Alvis Car Company has resumed production of the 4.3 Litre with a special Continuation Series and NEWCARNET.co.uk is the very first media outlet to capture this stunning vehicle on film. “We were very excited by the prospect of filming the Alvis: a brand new car that was effectively born in the 1930s,” said NEWCARNET.co.uk Editor-in-Chief, Massimo Pini. The NEWCARNET.co.uk team collected the car from the Alvis headquarters and motoring journalist Kevin Haggarthy put it through its paces it on typical UK roads. This marks the first video review of the new Alvis model, joining an extensive online content portfolio that already includes prestige marques such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Maserati and Lamborghini. “But this is just the tip of the iceberg,” continues Pini, “We have more than 1500 motoring videos covering cars to suit all tastes and budgets – everything from Renaults to Rolls-Royces – and we’re adding new videos every week. “As well as car reviews, our content includes news, features and motor show coverage – all available for syndication to enable online publishers to better engage with their audiences and crucially, to tap into sizeable online video advertising budgets.” Recent figures show that Automotive is the third largest industry sector for online video advertising, delivering 57.8 million video ad views during Q2 this year with Volkswagen claiming more than a quarter of these at 16.5 million*. The same figures also reveal that audiences are now choosing to watch more online video ads than ever before with an increase of 15% over the same period last year. “The Alvis 4.3 Litre Continuation Series brings 1930s glamour right into the modern era”, said Alvis Car Company MD Alan Stote. “It’s a very rare and exclusive car so we’re delighted that it can now be enjoyed by a much larger audience online.”Tags:
