Heveningham Hall Concours d'EleganceFollowing a highly successful inaugural Concours d’Elegance, Heveningham Hall is delighted to announce that next year’s event will be held on 8 and 9 July 2017, alongside its annual Country Fair. There will also be a brand-new associated event held on July 7: the Suffolk Border Tour, with a number of the Concours cars taking to the road in a magnificent display. Once again, the Concours d’Elegance will be in association with auctioneers Bonhams and is set to feature around 50 of the most prominent pre and post war cars in history. Already confirmed are a selection of Ferraris and McLarens, with many more groundbreaking cars from different eras set to join them next year at a Concours with a difference. Perhaps the most exciting of these supercars is the eagerly anticipated LaFerrari Aperta. Ferrari’s latest hybrid masterpiece features a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that transports it from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 218mph. Alongside this will be a Ferrari F12 TDF, McLaren F1 and a McLaren P1 GTR. Many more cars from different periods of automotive history will be announced closer to the event, but those are just a few to whet the appetite. The Suffolk Border Tour will take place before the Concours on Friday, with participating cars completing a 50-mile route around Suffolk, stopping for a ‘hillbilly barbecue’ lunch, before returning to Heveningham for a black tie dinner to kick off the Concours weekend. This new addition to the Concours should provide a spectacular extra dimension to the event, allowing people to see these stunning cars in motion as well as on display. Details of the itinerary will be published shortly. Max Hunt, the chairman of the Concours judging panel, said: “Last year was a great event and we had a stunning line up of cars. We are looking forward to going bigger and better this year with some new ideas, including the Suffolk Border Tour, and I’m delighted we have already confirmed some really amazing cars.” The Concours, which will take place in the 5,000-acre estate’s Capability Brown parkland, will include trophies in pre and post war categories as well as supercar. The annual Heveningham Hall Country Fair typically hosts around 20,000 visitors, and each year the Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust distributes all proceeds to local communities for village and school projects, church repairs, and individual cases of need, such as Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund.Tags:
