email161015The route for the Sunday leg of the 12th Roger Albert Clark Rally (27-29 November) has been changed to fit in with forestry harvesting operations. The amended route will now take in two runs through the Harwood, Hass Sike and Craik stages around two visits to the service area in Hawick. The final leg of the rally will start from Sunderland at 7am on Sunday 29 November and crews will return to Sunderland for the ceremonial finish at 4.45pm as originally planned. The new route will cover 50 stage miles, which is exactly the same as the original route. The opening 11.77-mile stage at Harwood will now be repeated with a minimal time gap and the double run will be well received as many crews declared it one of the best stages of the 2014 rally. The Hass Sike stage is 4.45 miles, while the Craik stage measures 9.01-miles. The revised Sunday route is: Start of leg   Seaburn Centre, Sunderland SS 15           Harwood 1 SS 16           Harwood 2 SS 17           Hass Sike 1 Service         Hawick SS 18           Craik 2 Service         Hawick SS19            Craik 2 SS20            Hass Sike 2 Finish           Seaburn Centre, Sunderland “I’m really pleased with how the Sunday route has now worked out,” said rally manager Colin Heppenstall. “I’m grateful to the regional forestry team for its help in putting the route together. I think the crews will really enjoy the stages.” The 2015 entry fee has been trimmed by £100 to £1875 and regulations are now available from the event website, www.rogeralbertclarkrally.orgTags:, ,
