Past star in spring schedule at Cheshire circuit
Oulton Park is set to celebrate the arrival of spring as its 60th anniversary season kicks off with the best of motorsport’s past. The thrilling racing featuring some of the world’s best cars will provide a long-awaited feast for fans starved of action during the winter months.
The Masters Historic Raceday on 23 March opens the season in appropriate style, providing a nostalgic celebration of the post-war era. The early years of the Cheshire circuit will be represented by the Pre ’66 GT and Pre ’66 Touring Trophy races, which will cover the everyday to the exotic. Meanwhile the World Sportscar Masters features big racing prototypes from the golden days of Le Mans, and will undoubtedly provide a memorable sight as they roar through Old Hall for the first time!
Breathtaking action will certainly be a feature of the Formula Ford and Masters 70s Celebration races that cover the next decade, whilst the 80s definitive hot hatchback takes the spotlight in the Mk2 Golf GTi Championship. The SuperPro VAG Trophy, with German tin-tops from the last 30 years, brings the action up to date.
