Comprising of over 200 motor cars and 3,000 items of associated memorabilia, the collection was put together by former Austrian Grand Prix driver Karl Ritter, who was a contemporary of Graham Hill and Jochen Rindt in the 1960s.  It will provide a unique investment opportunity for buyers from around the World. The auction has been masterminded by International Auction House COYS and is the most significant sale since they sold the Jimmy Hesledon Collection for World record prices in December 2011. "Once again COYS are breaking new ground," said Chris Routledge, the Managing Director. Earlier this year we held the first International auction in Athens, now we are to sell the Karl Ritter collection in Austria." He added: "It is extremely rare for a collection like this to come up for auction and all of the cars are being sold at no reserve. We are particularly excited because the classic car market is attracting a whole new range of enthusiasts and investors." "In recent months classic cars have out-performed gold in the investment stakes, and global investors are constantly looking for new cars. This collection provides that opportunity." Amongst the cars on offer are an Alfa Romeo 6c 2500 SS, a Bugatti Type 51 GP, a Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux GP, a Lagonda LG6 Drophead Coupe and a Ferrari 365 GT. By offering international collections like this in their home we have become one of the most well-travelled international auction houses in the world," said Chris Routledge. "We have always pioneered new ground and we will continue to do so. This a stunning assortment of cars and it is fitting that the collection is being sold by one of Austria's former Grand Prix driver's just weeks after it was announced that the Austrian Grand Prix is to make a return in 2014. The auction will take place at the Messe Congress Graz at  Graz in Austria.Tags:,
