BT ‘Busby’ Spacevan For Sale In Classic Car Auction
BT Dodge Spacevan
If you remember the days when it was cheaper to phone after 6pm and at weekends, and Busby the BT bird chirruping away in TV adverts, you might remember the Dodge Spacevan that was used to keep the pre-internet telephone network going.
And for anyone who fancies getting behind the wheel of their very own ex-BT Dodge, Anglia Car Auctions (ACA) has one in its next classic sale at its King’s Lynn head office on Saturday 22nd June.
Fully restored seven years ago to its bright yellow and blue North London-based specification, this 1981 model has the rear-mounted ladder that gives access to the heavy-duty roof rack, making this last-of-the-line Spacevan a useable, eye-catching classic.
With over 63,000 miles on the clock, the vehicle also comes with a comprehensive spares package, which is included in the sale. The estimated sale value on the Dodge Spacevan is between £4,500 and £6,500.
From a van for business to one for leisure - ACA is offering a great reminder of holidays past (or ones that sadly never happened) with a 1974 VW Devon Eurovette camper.
Recalling the days when camper vans weren’t painted beige, didn’t have central heating and weren’t so big they might almost qualify for paying Poll Tax, ACA’s fully-equipped and beautifully-presented unmodified example has covered 61,000-miles from new and is said to be one of the most original ACA has ever seen, inside and out.
With just three owners from new, this bay window four-berth model comes with the original sale brochure and is estimated to fetch a selling price of £15,000 to £18,000.
Anglia Car Auctions’ Classic Sale opens for viewing at 10am with the auction starting at 1pm. Entrance costs £5 inclusive of a catalogue (subject to availability). Potential buyers must register in advance of bidding and can bid in person or via the telephone. Buyers and sellers fee is five per cent plus VAT (minimum £75).Tags:Classic Car
